There have never been any scandalous incidents in the episcopal residence of Bishop Konrad Glöckner. For this reason, the Pope will spend a night in the episcopal palace during his trip to Germany. A few weeks before the Holy Father's visit, a former "cardinal's mistake" bursts into Glöckner's perfect church idyll. After the death of her mother, Emma Lind found a childhood photo showing her with her father. To her surprise, she recognizes none other than Bishop Konrad Glöckner, who lives 400 km away, in the compromising picture. Naturally, Emma wants to meet her father - a real countdown for the bishop, for whom more than just his career in Rome is now at stake.
There is only one person who can find a solution to all the official and private problems: Vicar General Koch.
"Cardinal Mistakes" is the title of this sophisticated and provocative church comedy, which is tailor-made for the present day thanks to its witty yet thought-provoking approach to a highly topical subject. At its core, the play deals with serious social issues such as the covering up of secrets, bribery, interwoven power structures and threats.
This event will be accompanied by a free introduction to the play by Linda Keil and Lasse Schulte.
