Wind turbines have been changing our landscape for several years. And on the roofs of our buildings, we are seeing more and more panels, so-called photovoltaic systems, that generate electricity.
Without wind turbines and photovoltaic systems, we will not be able to achieve the energy transition, they say. But what is the energy transition? How many more wind turbines do we need?
And how does a wind turbine or photovoltaic system actually work? How much electricity do they generate? Do wind turbines spoil our landscape, are they dangerous for birds or insects? These and many other questions will be answered on this excursion in Scharfenberg, where we will watch one or two wind turbines at work. We will find out how electricity can be generated with simple means by building a potato battery.
Each participant will have the opportunity to build their own windmill and test the power of the wind.
