With every step, the horizon shifts, and with it what becomes visible.
The exhibition is dedicated to the motif of the window as an interface between inside and outside, between perception and projection.
What once framed the view of nature as an architectural element and transferred it into the protected interior of a castle has expanded into a digital principle in the present: windows as operating systems, interfaces, open tabs - access to parallel realities.
Yasin Wörheide's works take up this shift. He sees his paintings as "intrinsic windows" - pictorial spaces that do not lead outwards, but inwards. They open up insights into mental and emotional states in which external impressions, memories and imaginations are superimposed. The paintings are complemented by sculptural works that deal with transformation, systems and shifts in meaning. Between archaic form and technological reference, they question format, perception and the mechanisms of opening, closing, minimizing and enlarging.
