This concert describes Berlin during the golden age of the "roaring twenties" as a time of change with songs by Mischa Spoliansky, Friedrich Hollaender, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Louis Prima and many more. It is the wild era in which creativity, art, music and culture reach their peak. The time of Brecht and Weill's Threepenny Opera, Friz Lang's silent film "Metropolis", the discovery of Marlene Dietrich, who plays "Fesche Lola" in Joseph von Sternberg's worldwide hit "The Blue Angel". It is also the era of the Comedian Harmonists, of Josephine Baker and her Charleston music, of the Andrew Sisters and of American swing and jazz, which changed Berlin and other major German cities. Sing Sing Sing by Louis Prima, originally performed by Benny Goodman, is the absolute show stopper moment in this show. Haan combines all these genres and brings this exciting era back to life by taking the audience on a captivatingly entertaining musical journey through music history. A high-speed show that won't keep the audience on the edge of their seats, but will make you want to sing and sing along! Accompanied by the Luxembourg Jazz Orchestra under the musical direction of Ernie Hammes.
