For fans of art, the Sauerland is a real treasure chest: The region is dotted with places where the works of artists from the present and the past can be admired. Many an exhibition is housed in a historic building, where the ambience alone creates an extraordinary atmosphere. But also completely surprising places give art a new home - for example, a bus stop becomes a gallery. Forged art and impressive sculptures can also be found in the gardens of their creators' workshops. In some studios you can watch the artists at work.
