It offers a breathtaking experience of nature, impresses with a varied landscape and leads past historical cultural monuments - the Wasser.Wege.Winkeln. discovery route is a real touring bike highlight. Cyclists can discover seven municipalities in the districts of Soest, Paderborn and Warendorf on this 130-kilometer tour. And once again, you can combine your excursion on two wheels in the Lippe-Möhnesee region with a stamp pass campaign and, with a bit of luck, win lucrative prizes.
Along the way, 57 stations such as overgrown ruins, historic old towns and unique nature reserves are just waiting to be discovered. The route runs from Möhnesee as the starting point in the south to Delbrück as the destination in the north, making it a direct link to the nationally renowned Emsradweg and RuhrtalRadweg cycle routes. A little tip: With the free Wasser.Wege.Winkeln. App and the videos, 360° images and animations it contains will make the trip even more interesting.
And to make the tour twice as worthwhile, a stamp pass campaign until 30 September offers the chance to win lucrative prizes such as two day tickets for the BördeTherme thermal baths in Bad Sassendorf, a voucher for an alpaca hike at the Steinhorster Becken in Delbrück or a guided tour of the baroque gardens at Schloss Hovestadt in Lippetal. Taking part is very easy: simply fill the stamp pass with location-specific stamps at the seven stations on the tour and you are entered into the competition. The stamp pass is available at the tourist information offices of the municipalities and at the following stamping points:
Möhnesee: Tourist-Info, Hauptstraße 19, 59519 Möhnesee
Soest: Tourist-Info, Teichsmühlengasse 3, 59494 Soest (only during opening hours)
Bad Sassendorf: Westfalen Salzwelten, An der Rosenau 2, 59505 Bad Sassendorf
Lippetal: Citizens' office in the town hall, Bahnhofstraße 7, 59510 Lippetal
Wadersloh: Liesborn Abbey Museum, Abteiring 8, 59329 Wadersloh
Lippstadt: City information office at the town hall, Lange Straße 14, 59556 Lippstadt
Delbrück: Café am Kirchplatz, Kirchplatz 15, 33129 Delbrück
Always note the opening hours of the institutions!
Outside of opening hours, cyclists have the opportunity to stamp their passports with the location-specific stamps themselves via specially installed stamp boxes in the entrance areas. The project is supported by the Lippe-Möhnesee LEADER region.
As soon as the stamp pass has been completed with all seven stamps, it simply needs to be submitted. This can be done either by Post to Sauerland-Tourismus e.V., Johannes-Hummel-Weg 1, 57392 Schmallenberg with the subject: Wasser.Wege.Winkeln. or directly at one of the stamping points along the cycle route. And with a bit of luck, you might be one of the winners. The closing date for the prize draw is Saturday, September 30, 2023. All information about the Wasser.Wege.Winkeln. discovery route and the stamp pass campaign can be found on the website www.wasser-wege-winkel.de.
