If you are looking for carefree touring cycling enjoyment in the Sauerland without steep climbs and with a varied route, then the MöhnetalRadweg is just right for you. The 65-kilometre flagship of the Hellwegbörde CycleTravelRegion from the historic Hanseatic town of Brilon past Warstein and the Möhnesee to the mouth of the eponymous river in the Ruhr near Arnsberg-Neheim boasts a number of highlights and plenty of unforgettable natural moments.
And last year, a cycle tour was doubly worthwhile, as the popular stamp pass campaign from Sauerland Tourism and Warstein Brewery entered its second round. Participants had to diligently collect stamps and combine their excursion on two wheels with a break in a restaurant along the route. "The MöhnetalRadweg is one of the most popular products in the touring bike sector and has enjoyed enormous popularity, not least since the e-bike boom," emphasizes Robin Daniel, marketing employee at Sauerland Tourism. "Above all, the wide variety of restaurants and cafés along the 65-kilometre route makes it so popular with holidaymakers, day trippers and locals alike."
And this was proven not least by the draw for the winner, just in time for the start of the new 2024 touring bike season: Matthias Frenz, a Sauerland cycling fan from the immediate vicinity, was delighted to win the main prize, a VIP weekend for two at the next Warstein International Mountain Golfiade. "We are delighted that so many cyclists enjoyed the breaks along the MöhnetalRadweg with our beers," says Sarah Schauerte from the Warstein Brewery, "We would like to congratulate the winners and wish all cycling fans lots of fun cycling again this year and toasting with a Warstein after the bike tour."
