65 kilometers, no inclines and pure enjoyment of nature - the MöhnetalRadweg is one of the most popular touring cycle paths in the Sauerland and attracts up to 100,000 cyclists every year. This year, cyclists can combine their tour with a competition and a campaign for a good cause. In cooperation with the Warstein brewery, this cycling season is all about "collecting stamps" and helping to reforest the local forest.
"We are delighted about the great commitment of the Warstein Brewery and the opportunity to do our bit together for the forest of the future here in the Sauerland," says Kevin Osterfeld, Cycling Theme Manager at Sauerland Tourism. "Because the MöhnetalRadweg and cycling in the region thrive on the intact nature and the many natural highlights along the routes." The principle is very simple. On their tour along the popular river cycle path, cyclists collect stamps when they stop off at participating Warstein Brewery restaurants to fill their passports.
"With our beers, cyclists can really enjoy their breaks along the MöhnetalRadweg and collect a stamp at every Warstein brewery," explains Sarah Schauerte from the Warstein Brewery. "With the large selection of products - with or without alcohol - there is something for every taste and the many restaurants along the cycle path, which are at least as beautiful as the cycle path itself, invite you to take a refreshing break."
Every completed stamp pass received by December 31, 2022 will automatically be entered into a prize draw. The main prize is a VIP weekend at the Warstein Montgolfiade 2023 for two people with overnight accommodation. In addition, the Warstein Brewery will plant a tree in the brewery's planting garden for each passport submitted. You can send it by post to the Warsteiner Brewery, Domring 4-10, 59581 Warstein or as a scan/photo by e-mail to gewinnspiel@warsteiner.com with the subject "MöhnetalRadweg". This makes the cycle tour a double pleasure.
The stamp pass is available at the tourist information offices along the route and at participating restaurants. All addresses can be accessed via QR code on the MöhnetalRadweg flyer or listed directly on the website www.warsteiner.de/moehnetalradweg.
