Our network is growing: Currently, it includes 50 tourist information centers, lodging providers, restaurants, and attractions in the Sauerland region. All are partners in the Sauerland destination’s sustainability initiative—in two ways.
17 businesses already hold their own certifications recognized by the TourCert system: GreenSign, Green Table, Viabono, Ökoprofit, Landgrün, and DEHOGA Umweltcheck. 33 businesses are starting out with TourCert Qualified. This is a qualification and development process—it is explicitly not a certification: The businesses assess themselves through a standardized self-assessment, implement specific improvement measures, and make progress step by step.
