At the foot of the St.Muffert cliff, the idea of a cable car like the ones you see in theme parks comes to mind: from the banks of the Diemel reservoir up to the summit, with a parking lot and snack bar at the bottom and a panoramic café at the top

. Although the ascent would have been sweat-free and completed in just a few minutes, the price would have been high: the destruction of a valuable natural area - and the loss of those quiet discoveries that make a hike meaningful in the first place.
This plan actually existed at one time. Fortunately, it was rejected.

From the north: Drive towards Hannover and take the A7 towards Kassel until the Kasseler Kreuz junction, then take the A44 towards Dortmund, exit Marsberg towards Diemelsee
From the east: Take direction Kassel, then A44 Dortmund exit Marsberg direction Diemelsee-Heringhausen
From the west: Direction Dortmund, A44 direction Kassel, exit Marsberg direction Diemelsee-Heringhausen
From the south: Munich in the direction of Nuremberg, Kassel and onto the A44 in the direction of Dortmund, take the Marsberg exit and drive towards Diemelsee Heringhausen
