Discover the Diemelsee in all its facets and from every angle on this 13-km-long, varied loop around the lake. This exciting and especially family-friendly bike tour is also ideal for children. The recommended starting point for this bike tour is the parking lot at the Tourist Information Office, though you can, of course, also begin the loop around Lake Diemelsee from any other starting point. Highlights of the loop include the unspoiled section between the “Hohes Rad” campground and the Diemelsee Nature Reserve. The spectacular lake views along the entire route, as well as the imposing dam itself—with stunning views of the balancing ponds and the lake—are sure to delight you.
