We start at the Bullenwiese parking lot in Züschen. From here, we hike a short distance through the village, past historic buildings. The trail continues uphill past the church and soon turns right and heads downhill. We pass the old bridge over the bike path on the left. From there, we follow the small meadow path steeply uphill until we reach a farm road again. This leads us past meadows—with a view back toward Züschen—into the forest and on to Haumecke. From there, we hike downhill to the left, past the Bioland Hof Brendgrund farm, to the Silbersee. Here we turn left and follow one of the most beautiful meadow trails to Züschen and the campground. We pass the campground on our left, and the trail leads us back along the Ahre River to the starting point.
