A8 Wendenerhütte-Vahlberg

The A8 hiking trail in Wendener Land is an approximately 6-kilometre circular tour that starts at the historic Wendener Hütte and leads towards Vahlberg. The route is ideal for a shorter, yet varied hike and runs through quiet forests and over open heights with beautiful views. The start and finish point itself is a particular highlight: The Wendener Hütte is considered to be one of the oldest charcoal blast furnaces in Germany and gives the tour an exciting historical setting. Thanks to its easily accessible paths and manageable length, the A8 is perfect for families, beginners or a relaxing break in nature.
