Safety guidelines

First Aid: In an emergency, dial the emergency number 112. Provide the rescue point number. Rescue points are marked locations in the forest that serve as meeting points for emergency vehicles. If you do not know the location of the nearest rescue point, your location can be determined directly via AML (Advanced Mobile Location) during the emergency call.

Author Tip

The Protestant Erlöserkirche in Schalksmühle is located right next to the Schnurrenplatz hiking parking lot, a possible starting and ending point for the hike. A detour to this 19th-century church is definitely worth it.

The Venezia ice cream parlor on Rathausplatz in Schalksmühle (Tel. 02355/3869, Rathausplatz 2) invites you to enjoy a delicious scoop of ice cream.
