The Protestant Erlöserkirche in Schalksmühle is located right next to the Schnurrenplatz hiking parking lot, a possible starting and ending point for the hike. A detour to this 19th-century church is definitely worth it.
The Venezia ice cream parlor on Rathausplatz in Schalksmühle (Tel. 02355/3869, Rathausplatz 2) invites you to enjoy a delicious scoop of ice cream.
With the RB 52 from Hagen or Lüdenscheid, get off at the Schalksmühle train station. From the platform, you can walk directly to the Schnurrenplatz hiking parking lot.
Take Line 87 operated by MärkischeVerkehrsgesellschaftconnects Lüdenscheid and Schalksmühle. Get off at the Schalksmühle Rathausplatz or Schalksmühle Mitte bus stops. It’s a short walk from there to the Schnurrenplatz hiking parking lot.
