The museum in the former large classroom presents exhibits from Liesen's time, including his handwritten weather records.
You can also view weather instruments from the weather house to historical measuring instruments and a weather balloon.
The Weather Museum Alte Schule Schreufa e. V. is a hands-on museum that explains the weather in a playful way and also draws attention to climate change. Small experiments can be carried out or weather instruments can be made in the experimental kitchen.
The climate fence of remembrance shows that the average temperature in Germany has been rising continuously for around 30 years. There is a fully automatic weather station in the weather and climate garden, the data from which can also be viewed on the museum's website.
You can also see from the phenological clock that vegetation is starting earlier and earlier. The earth's water cycle is powered by wind and solar energy.
Information boards and cloud images explain climate change and weather patterns.
