VELTINS-EisArena

It is one of 17 cable cars in the world located right outside the gates of Winterberg. It can be visited all year round. From October to the end of February, you can watch the athletes train every day. Numerous competitions can also be attended free of charge.



The VELTINS-EisArena is: tourist attraction, spectator magnet, successful talent factory for the skating stars of tomorrow and meeting place for the absolute world elite.



The track is one of the most modern and technically demanding in the world. It stands for exciting competitions, performance and "sporting spirit" par excellence.



The 110 meter difference in altitude and 15 steep bends demand everything from the skaters. They hurtle through the VELTINS-EisArena at speeds of up to 140 kilometers per hour.



Spectators are right up close to the action as bobsleighs, luge and skeleton sleds race downhill at breathtaking speeds. Thousands watch the action on the ice track with rapt attention. In addition to the sporting competitions, spectators and visitors to the track can look forward to an extensive and colorful supporting program that offers something for young and old.
