The Unsohle offers ideal access to the "forest" world of nature and adventure. The 1,000 square meter site is home to the Unsohle stream and an open shelter. It is bordered to the north by a fire pond. The Warstein Hegering hunting association has created a child-friendly and educational nature learning area here. "A green classroom! We want to teach children about the local flora and fauna and the importance of biodiversity in the cultural landscape," emphasized Georg Grewe, chairman of the Hegering. This also includes an educational tree trail, an insect hotel, deadwood mounds and natural history explanations. The "green classroom" planned here is intended to motivate kindergartens, schools and educational institutions to hold individual lessons here in the context of "nature and the forest experience".Of course, the Hegering would like to use this space for the public, as a resting place for cyclists and walkers or for local groups.
In addition, the area opens up a number of perspectives for making holistic information about nature and the landscape, and thus also hunting, accessible to interested parties. This will also tie in with current initiatives of the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park on "Education for Sustainable Development" in cooperation with the Arnsberg Forest Association.
