Stadtkapelle Warstein: This is how beautiful home sounds
With well over 40 active musicians, the Stadtkapelle Warstein has been dedicated to its home on the edge of the Sauerland since it was founded in 1900. The composition of the orchestra, the conductor and the board have changed over the years and decades, just like the musical repertoire, events and festivals. The Stadtkapelle Warstein has always remained true to its guiding principle of making a musical contribution to the region and its people with passion, commitment and pride.
After a break of several years, the Stadtkapelle Warstein has been organizing its winter concert again since 2015. In the first three years of the relaunch, it was under the direction of Anna Knülle, and since 2018 under the overall direction of conductor Sebastian Lenze.
The youth orchestra under the direction of Jonas Knülle is also a growing and important part of the Stadtkapelle Warstein. The talented young musicians rehearse every week. Gradually, step by step, they are introduced to the work in the main orchestra. The youth orchestra is a talent factory and at the same time the future of the Warstein town band.
Anyone of any age who is interested in concertante, traditional and modern brass music and would like to play in the youth or main orchestra or would simply like to find out more is very welcome. Simply contact us or write to us at info@stadtkapelle-warstein.de.
