As early as 1707, a church dedicated to St. Nicholas stood on the site of today’s church. Records from 1913 note that the old church was in a state of disrepair. Based on plans by Karl Wibbe, a new church was built on the old foundations in 1931.
Noteworthy features include a cross (circa 1530) and various statues of saints (from the 14th and 15th centuries).
