St. Marien deliberately dispenses with a traditional nave. Instead, the pews are arranged at right angles around the altar on three sides, creating an open, communal space. This design places the altar at the center and creates a calm, concentrated atmosphere for prayer, worship and personal contemplation.

The church invites you to escape everyday life for a moment and come to rest - whether during a service or a short, quiet visit to the city center.

The Catholic parish of Meinerzhagen celebrates regular services in St. Marien:

  • Sunday: High Mass at 9:30 a.m.

  • Saturday (every 14 days): Pre-evening mass at 5:30 pm
