The small chapel in Eversberg, with two linden trees on either side of its entrance, was built in honor of the Virgin Mary and St. Lucy. It dates back to 1739. At that time, the town’s residents vowed to build a chapel after 50 residents of Eversberg had lost their lives in previous years due to the “Red Weh” (red Ruhr) epidemic.
Inside the chapel is a Baroque altar, on which the Virgin Mary with the Child can be seen. To the left of it is a depiction of St. Lucy, and to the right, St. Agatha. Since 1983, the Lucien Chapel has been listed as a historic monument on the city of Meschede’s list of historic sites. It is located on the southern outskirts ofMeschede-Eversberg.

Eversberg can be reached from Meschede via bus line C3. The nearest stop is "Eversberg, Johannisstraße." From there, it is about a 400-meter walk to the Luzienkapelle.
