With its striking arch, the St. Georg ski jump rises 80 meters above the Rothaargebirge mountains on the Herrloh - an excursion destination in the Hochsauerland district that delights visitors all year round. As a national base of the German Ski Association (DSV), young talents from the Winterberg ski club train here on the plastic covered hill. Keep your fingers crossed for the flying eagles in the event arena! From the 22-metre-high viewing platform, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley. Round off your visit on the sun terrace of the "Die Schanze" restaurant - with a view of the low mountain range.
Tip: A guided tour of the ski jump (Sundays all year round) lets you experience the world of ski jumpers from the inside.
