St. Elisabeth's Church was completed in 1907. It was built in the Romanesque style so as not to compete with the neighboring churches. Originally, the church had a carved altar. Between 1936 and 1942, these carved images were replaced by images of 'Aryan' saints. However, none of these images have survived to this day. In 1949, the church was given new bells as the old ones had been lost in the war. The church was renovated between 1960 and 1962. The church was given a new sandstone altar. The colorful, original paint of the church was whitewashed over with a light color. 14 Stations of the Cross and a Schmitz Madonna found a place in the church. In 1980, the exterior of St. Elisabeth's Church was repainted. The interior was renovated again in 1981.
