The Hennen has its source in various spring pools, which lie above the hiking trail in rough terrain in the forest. Below the hiking trail, the springs merge in steep terrain and become the Hennebach at the level of the country road (junction to Oberhenneborn / Kirchrarbach), which feeds the Hennesee.
Important note:
This area is part of the nature reserve "Quellgebiet der Hennen", where paths are strictly prohibited. For reasons of nature conservation and your own safety, it is not permitted to enter the forest.
