The sculpture “Stein-Zeit-Mensch” by artist Nils-Udo resembles an archaic temple in the middle of the forest. At its center lies a quartzite monolith weighing about 150 metric tons, surrounded by a monumental structure made of tree trunks. Amid the quiet grandeur of the forest, the artwork serves as a monument and memorial to the grandeur, timelessness, and uniqueness of nature. The powerful combination of stone, wood, and forest also makes visitors acutely aware of humanity’s transience and vulnerability.
