In the Bremeck Valley, near the Grafschaft Monastery, visitors can experience the sound sculpture “Über den Teichen” by artist Andreas Oldörp. A circle of tall copper-and-steel steles creates a mysterious tapestry of sound that spreads across the long, narrow valley.

The steles are constructed according to the principle of organ pipes. Their tones blend with the natural sounds of the forest and fields, creating an unusual soundscape. Only when you are very close can you tell that the mystical sounds are coming from the sculpture.

“Über den Teichen” combines art and nature and invites visitors to consciously experience their surroundings through hearing, sensing, and feeling.
