The Sauerland Stable Chair - one of the tallest wooden chairs in the world at eight meters high! This impressive work of art is enthroned high up on the Kohlberg (528 m above sea level) and invites you to take an unforgettable break. From the viewing platform, you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view over Liesen, Hallenberg and Hesborn as far as the Medebach Bay - including magnificent views of bird and landscape conservation areas as well as the Liesetal FFH area. The oversized wooden object was created together with the Hallenberg furniture manufacturer Kusch & Co. and is based on the classic chair from 1939 - the "Sauerland Stabil": Art meets function! The tour then continues along the 250-kilometre Sauerland-Höhenflug hiking trail - a real highlight in the Hochsauerland region.
