Starting from the offers at Hof Haulle (inside and outside), the
Local Salt
Route is a continuation of the exhibition and provides access to the thematically relevant points of interest (POIs) in the spa as a tour of the town.The Local Salt Route guides visitors to the Salzwelten center on their way through the town back to Hof Haulle. The route takes in buildings, squares and works of art that document the local salt history and/or stand for the use of brine for healing purposes. The various themes from the exhibition at Hof Haulle are taken up on site and explored and illustrated at the respective stations,
while the Local Salt Route also leads through Bad Sassendorf's most attractive tourist areas, in particular the spa gardens and the pedestrian zone, and incorporates a large number of restaurants and retail outlets.
By means of the route running through the town, visitors whose destination is not (yet) the Salt World Centre are also made aware of the salt/brine-related sights, thus raising awareness of the topic and drawing attention to the Salt World Centre or leading them to Hof Haulle.
