In 1954, around 70 part-time farms were set up in Petersborn on an area of around 30 hectares for the expellees from East Germany.

To enable the residents to set up a small farm, each house had a stable and a large plot of land. Over time, part-time farming was abandoned. Today, the former stables are used as sheds or living space. The field name Petersborn was mentioned in a document as early as 1565. The word part Born means spring.
