The generously proportioned Otto-Fuchs-Platz is now the heart of public life in Meinerzhagen. Events, festivals and music formats take place here on a regular basis. The weekly market on Fridays, various open-air concerts and seasonal events such as the Meinerzhagen Winter Lounge are a permanent fixture in the events calendar.

The square also invites you to linger outside of events. Families in particular benefit from the integrated play equipment, which can be used by children of all ages. In the summer months, small water play areas in the form of ground fountains provide welcome refreshment and additional fun.

At the edge of the square there are also information and overview boards about the Sauerland-Höhenflug long-distance hiking trail, which starts in Meinerzhagen. This makes the Otto-Fuchs-Platz an ideal starting or orientation point for hikers.
