The Heimat- und Kulturverein e. V. Geismar 1996, which runs the museum in the Geismar district, has set itself the task of preserving tradition, bringing the past to life and passing on craftsmanship, such as the skill of flax processing. The museum houses the permanent exhibitions "From Flax to Linen" and "Copper and Silver Mining". There are also temporary exhibitions of pictures, art and objects.
Guided tours and demonstrations for registered groups and school classes as well as bookable demonstrations of the process from flax to linen at festive events.
