The Mesekendahl Wildlife Park is located near the Lüdenscheid-Nord/Schalksmühle highway exit; red deer, fallow deer, wild boars, bison, and pheasants await your visit as you take a leisurely stroll through the Märkische Forests.
Current animal population: Discover pygmy and mountain goats, ferrets, wild boars, pheasants, red foxes, coatis, Jacob sheep, Cameroon sheep, donkeys, raccoons, bison, red deer, fallow deer, ponies, and lots and lots of forest ants!
At the entrance to the wildlife park, you can purchase animal feed to treat the animal residents during your visit. All “human” guests have the option to grab an ice cream or a delicious bratwurst to go, or linger over coffee and cake in the cozy little dining area.
If the weather is very bad on the scheduled opening days, please call the wildlife park briefly to confirm whether it is open.
The wildlife park is featured in the “Oben an der Volme” region’s leisure brochure! Coupon: One child accompanied by an adult enters free of charge (Wed.–Fri.)! Coupons valid in 2020 & 2021! Available at the tourist information offices and municipal offices in Herscheid, Meinerzhagen, Kierspe, Halver, and Schalksmühle!
