The LWL Clinic for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics Warstein is a facility of the Psychiatry Association of the Regional Association of Westfalen-Lippe (LWL). The LWL fulfills tasks for the approximately 8.5 million people in Westfalen-Lippe in the areas of social welfare, the disabled, youth and special schools, health and psychiatry as well as culture.
Thanks to its decentralized location structure, the LWL Psychiatric Association is close to the citizens and at the same time provides a first-class network of specialists. Around 9,000 staff are currently employed in 95 facilities for mentally ill people at 27 locations. The facilities in the LWL psychiatric network benefit from each other through a network of joint training courses and joint developments such as electronic patient files, new treatment concepts and networked quality management.
The clinic offers the full range of psychiatric services with the departments of general psychiatry, depression treatment, integrative psychiatry and psychotherapy, geriatric psychiatry as well as addiction medicine and addiction rehabilitation. In addition to the 273 beds for the acute inpatient treatment of mental illnesses, there are also 18 day clinic places available on the 43-hectare park grounds. The addiction rehabilitation area has 120 beds. We also offer outpatient treatment options. A large service area is responsible for the infrastructure and administration of all facilities in the regional network.
