Kulturhaus SchlachthofCinema

The cinema of the "Kulturhaus Alter Schlachthof" e.V., or "SchlachthofKino" for short, offers a daily film program with up to three screenings a day. Film fans who are not into American blockbuster movies will get their money's worth here. The focus is on current European and German film productions. Special features that clearly set the cinema apart from others are the high proportion of documentaries and a daily short film in the commercial-free supporting program of the main film. The program is supplemented by a family-friendly children's cinema, where classics and reruns are also an integral part of the program. All films are carefully selected from the wide range of cinema releases and here and there you can discover real film treasures for which you would otherwise have to travel far.
The cinema is characterized by a high level of comfort, personality and a relaxed atmosphere. Our special highlight is the ABSPANN Kino-Café.Bar, which has an industrial charm and is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee or cold drink before the movie or to round off the evening.
