Here, from the bridge, you can clearly see the zigzagging stone bars. They allow the fish to migrate, as they provide a residual trickle at low water. When there is more water, the water is enriched with oxygen, especially here, as it flows over the stone blocks. This is preferred by the larvae of the stonefly, caddis fly and mayfly. In other words, plenty of food for the dipper.
