It gets idyllic

The hiking parking lot is a good starting point for hikes and walks through rustic, peaceful and hilly landscapes. The A 4 is the start of a beautiful 9 km circular tour that leads uphill and downhill through the Ilse valley and offers fantastic views along the way. First, the trail leads up to the Hohe Ley. An impressive view over the Lahntal valley awaits you here. You then follow narrow paths and trails to the Weidelbach pond. Situated in the middle of the forest, surrounded by wonderful tranquillity, this dreamy place is perfect for a long break. From the pond, the trail leads down into the Ilse valley and along the stream back to the starting point. The marked circular trail A 3 around the Banfer Seifen (2 km) and an entry point to the 16 km long Ilse valley trail is possible.

Note: There is no winter service at the hiking parking lot.
