Hiking around the Gickelsberg
A beautiful 7 km hike begins at the "Ampen Steinseifen" hiking parking lot, leading uphill and downhill through forest and open countryside. Along the way, there are always fantastic views of the Edertal or towards Altenteich. Initially passing the ski hut, the A 3 then turns onto the Höhweg and climbs up to Seebachhöhe. Here the hiking trail turns and leads down the valley past the Erndtebrück cemetery back to the starting point. The shorter circular hiking trails A 1 (2.5 km) and A 2 (4.5 km) also start from the hiking parking lot. Both lead around the Gickelsberg. The hiking parking lot is also the starting point for the Wittgenstein Panorama Trail. In winter, three groomed cross-country ski trails for sporting activities.
