Around the Langenfeld valley
A 1, a beautiful 5.9 km circular tour, begins at the "Sonnenhang" hiking parking lot. Most of the hiking trail leads uphill and downhill along forest paths, mostly not far from the Langenfeld stream, before you return to the starting point via a small path near the Hilchenbach cemetery. The circular hiking trails A 2 (10.8 km) around the Rothenberg and A 5 around the Hademtal (5 km) also start from the hiking parking lot. The hiking parking lot also serves as the starting point for a hike on the Hilchenbach wind hiking trail. This 4.7 km circular trail leads through the Hilchenbach Bürgerwindpark and the beautiful landscape of the Rothaargebirge. Even without a guided tour, you will receive comprehensive information here, as a display board at each of the five wind turbines explains how the natural power of wind is harnessed using state-of-the-art technology.
