Located right on the border with Hesse, the "Am Didoll" hiking parking lot offers many opportunities to explore the hilly and scenic area. The "Weitblick" (6 km) is the start of a beautiful circular tour that first leads downhill into the Finken valley. In addition to the junipers, orchids and other rare plant species, hikers have the chance to observe the red-backed shrike, a characteristic bird species of the hedgerows and bushes. Passing the refuge, the path then leads uphill to the highest point of the tour, the "Stein" at around 640 m above sea level. Here you can enjoy a panoramic view before returning to the starting point. The circular hiking trails A 2 (9 km) into the Wellrichhäuser Bachtal, A 3 (6 km) around Didoll or A 4 (5 km) around the Sehrberg also start here. The hiking parking lot also provides access to the Wittgensteiner Panoramaweg, the Schieferweg (X23), the main hiking trail X15 (Uplandweg) or the 12 km long Richsteig.

How to get there Take the L 903 from Richstein to Didoll. After the Berggasthof Didoll, go straight ahead to the hiking parking lot. The parking lot is on the right-hand side. From Puderbach, take the L 903 and turn right to the parking lot before the Didoll mountain inn. Parking There are plenty of free parking spaces available.
