Immerse yourself in the colorful world of the funfair for four days, meet friends, stroll, feast and experience an attractive program - the Gösselkirmes always attracts visitors to the Hellweg town on the first weekend in May.
The Geseke fun fair starts at seven o'clock in the morning on Thursday with the cattle and stalls market and the animal show at the Calenhof and in Uekernstraße.
On Thursdays at 11.00 a.m. and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2.00 p.m., the funfair hustle and bustle begins in the town center.
In addition to the funfair, the flea market around the pond on Friday afternoon is a magnet for collectors and bargain hunters.
On Saturday from 2 p.m., the spring parade takes spectators into various themed worlds, for example under the motto "Comics & Co.". The float builders have been working on their floats for many weeks, and Geseke kindergarten children and pupils from Geseke schools accompany the floats with the appropriate costumes. The parade participants are accompanied by music bands, whose playing gives the parade a special musical setting.
After the spring parade, a music band invites you to a short concert at the "Tent of Encounter".
The last day of the Gösselkirm starts with a special kind of sporting competition. On Sunday, the east wall is opened for the soapboxes from 9.30 am. Starting with the training runs, things get serious from 11 am when the first race starts. Around 35 racing cars will then compete in the hunt for best times and trophies.
From 1 p.m. on the Sunday of the fair, the Geseke merchants invite you to an open Sunday. You can browse and shop to your heart's content for special offers until 6 pm.
Real funfair fans will once again get their money's worth at the Gösselkirmes. In addition to the carousel classics, such as the Musikexpress and car scooter, other larger carousels will be stopping off in the Hellweg town. Meanwhile, various children's carousels invite the fair's youngsters to take a ride. Snack and confectionery stands, games stalls and other fairground stands round off the wide range of attractions. For culinary delights, funfair visitors should head to Noltengasse. This will once again be transformed into a gourmet mile.
