Geocaching is a kind of scavenger hunt using state-of-the-art technology.
Navigation satellites orbit the earth and the signals they send are analyzed with the help of GPS receivers. Your GPS device uses the signals from these satellites to calculate geographical coordinates for your position. The device compares this coordinate with the target coordinate of the current cache. The route and direction to the destination are then calculated from this data and displayed on the screen.
The geocaching tour "Around Burg Altena" is a so-called multi-cache. With this type of cache, tasks have to be solved at stations. Correctly solving these tasks results in coordinates that lead you to the next station.
You can find the coordinates and tasks under "Pictures". Please enter the red letter after the correct solution in the solution field on the back. The order of the solution letters corresponds to the sequence of the tasks.
