Flugsportgemeinschaft Soest e. V.

Flugsportgemeinschaft Soest e.V. is a club with around 170 members who practice almost all types of air sports: Powered flight, powered gliding, microlighting, gliding, parachuting and hot air ballooning. The association is also the airfield operator of the "Soest Bad Sassendorf" airfield (EDLZ). All work and the maintenance of flight operations is carried out on a voluntary basis by the club members, and

for many years the flying club flew on the site as a civilian co-user together with the Canadian and most recently the British Army. After the helicopter squadron withdrew, it became the airfield operator and

almost all air sports are practiced at the Soest/Bad Sassendorf airfield. Interested visitors are very welcome, and in good weather, sightseeing flights over the Soest Börde are also possible. For further information, please call 02927-340 or visit www.flugplatz-soest.de.
