The Feuereiche trekking site, which is located directly on the certified Rothaarsteig and Brilon Kammweg hiking trails, offers an intensive nature experience. In the immediate vicinity are the Bruchhauser Steine, the beautiful Schmala Valley with its Silbersee lake and the Seelenort Ginsterkopf with fantastic views of the stunning Sauerland landscape.
After a quiet night under the starry Sauerland sky, the Bruchhauser Steine are well worth a visit. Nature lovers can watch a variety of birds from the site. A steep path leads down to the fire oak, a cultural highlight. The artistically decorated trunk depicts the history of human development in conjunction with the positive and negative benefits of wood and fire.
The trekking site can be reached in less than half an hour from the parking lot on the L 743, from Brilon-Wald train station in around an hour, and also from Bruchhausen.
