The EMS Hennesee event boat glides silently across the beautiful Lake Hennesee thanks to its electric propulsion.
During the cruise, guests enjoy magnificent views of the wooded shores, the rolling hills of the Sauerland, and the expansive lake landscape. Whether as a leisurely outing, a special event, or part of a vacation day—a trip on the EMS Hennesee combines the enjoyment of nature, relaxation, and maritime charm right in the heart of the Sauerland.

Docking stations:

  • Main Pier at Hennedamm
  • Xaver’s Ranch Pier
  • Mielinghausen Pier
  • New: Berghauser Bucht Pier (H1, adventure playground)
The boarding docks are served in this order.

The EMS Hennesee operates year-round. During the winter months, the ship sails on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. During the summer months, it sails Tuesday through Sunday, and even daily during school breaks in North Rhine-Westphalia!

Numerous events take place on the EMS Hennesee: brunch, parties, and culinary events. There’s even a Christmas market on the ship during the Advent season.

The former MS Hennesee was sold, technically overhauled, and is now in service on Lake Berzdorf near Görlitz.

The Hennesee is particularly popular with active guests; cyclists, inline skaters, and Nordic walkers can be found along its eastern shore. On warm days, swimmers flock to the swimming cove, and it’s known among anglers as a prime fishing spot. Incidentally, tech-savvy day-trippers can tour the inside of the dam and get a close-up look at the machinery, pumps, and turbines.
