Ostinghausen's Catholic parish of St. Christophorus is characterized by its striking church tower, which can be seen from afar. Today's parish hall is a former farmstead. The Ida relic, which was given to the parish in 1862, is characteristic of the parish. The original church building was demolished in 1895 and replaced by a new church by 1896, which was consecrated by Bishop Dr. Hubertus Simar. The single-nave, neo-Gothic building with the Romanesque baptismal font, the predecessor church, is significant.

Due to striking similarities with the St. Ida Basilica in Herzfeld, the Catholic parish church of St. Christophorus is often referred to as its sister.

Regular service times: Wednesdays, 6.00 p.m.
