The Brauhaus Zwiebel, which has been in existence since 1983, has been brewing specialty beers since 1993. At the beginning there were the varieties "Soest Hell" and "Soest Dunkel". Over the years, other specialty beers such as Soest Weizen, Weihnachtsbock and Märzen have been added. In 2016, a new state-of-the-art brewery with a significantly higher capacity was built on the opposite side of the street, in what is now the "Zwiebel's Sudhaus" event restaurant. In addition to the main brewery "Zwiebel" and the event restaurant "Sudhaus", there is also the restaurant "Aloisius", which offers an extended selection of dishes with special menus
