A play for children, young people and adults based on the memoirs "Pearls of Childhood" by Vera Gissing

The story of eleven-year-old Vera and her memories of a carefree childhood: the idyllic village she comes from hides the atrocities of the Nazi era. Until escape becomes the only hope for the Jewish community. And Vera's life changes forever. With acting, animation and music, the characters from Vera's diary come to life on stage, interwoven with biographical reflections by the actress Liora Hilb. It is Vera's life that is to be remembered. The play vividly and sensitively tells of the fears and desires of a child, of the search for identity and of how the will of an individual makes all the difference.
