50 Jahre Werkstatt Altena-40 Jahre Ruhrakademie Schwerte
The "Werkstatt Altena" was founded 50 years ago, in 1976, by craftsmen from Altena
with the aim of supporting artists after their exams before the start of their creative phase
.
The Ruhrakademie Schwerte was founded 40 years ago in Altena.
We would like to celebrate these two anniversaries together.
We are therefore inviting young students of the Ruhrakademie to our castle and wire town of Altena for
these "workshop days".
In accordance with its statutes, the workshop has so far given young artists the
opportunity to work, paint, sculpt and draw here in Altena for several months after their exams without financial
worries.
However, in this, our anniversary year, we would like to invite several art students to these
"Workshop Days" in our town.
The "Workshop Days" take place as an open studio in and around Holtzbrinck Castle. All
art-interested citizens of the city and beyond are cordially invited to experience the
design process, the creation of the works of art, to drop by and to celebrate with us on
05.09.26 on the festive evening (from 5 pm).
