The young ballet dancer Giulietta from Berlin just wants to know what is so different about this dance and meets Damián. He is the star of a tango ensemble from Buenos Aires. They fall in love until Damián suddenly disappears. Giulietta embarks on a desperate search and follows him to Buenos Aires. There she begins an odyssey through the visible and invisible world of tango, in which Damián's enigmatic dance style reveals itself as Ariadne's thread in a dangerous labyrinth of dark, long-kept secrets from Argentina's and Germany's past. Giulietta's world is shaken to the core. Nothing remains as it once seemed. The ambitious ballet girl becomes an artist. Born out of pain, Giulietta dances the solo of her life.
