Solo evening to combat a lack of happiness and rhythm disturbances
In his latest solo show, “Part-Time Brain,” cabaret artist Thomas Philipzen races through the volatility of the broader political and social climate, acting, singing, and improvising. And in the meantime, that’s turning our control center into a real buzz in the head. How is the madness of this huge planet supposed to fit into such a small brain?

To give the frontal lobe a good airing, a bold laugh in the face of it all helps. Unleashed, Philipzen oscillates between the new and the old, confusion and confidence, getting lost in the mental blackouts and social blunders of modern humanity. The audience can look forward to whimsical stories and offbeat songs with depth, all embedded in Philipzen’s equally unmistakable and unconventional range of performance styles.

Thomas Philipzen was part of the Münster-based cult cabaret STORNO for 20 years; eight of his solo cabaret guest performances have won awards.
